Powerhouse singer Morgan James showed off great range both vocally and stylistically during her two shows at the Dakota Jazz Club in Minneapolis. It was the perfect setting to fully appreciate the level of control she has over her instrument and what a dynamic result that can have on her interpretation of a melody. In addition to performing songs from her album "Hunter", she tried out some new material that had a classic soul flavor and was well received. James is also know for putting her own stamp on a diverse range of cover songs that can be explored on youtube, and one of her best is particularly impactful in this town "Call My Name" (Prince) and was a high point in the performance.
